Wallpaper with Divine Design
Candice Olson, star of HGTV’s Divine Design, was recently on the Today Show with Al Roker, talking about the new kitchen she created for a top stylist. Among the many tips she shared with the audience was one near and dear to our heart – basically, the notion that if you can only do one thing, do wallpaper.
“Wall paper is a great way of adding personality and character….It’s unexpected, and that’s what makes designs great.”
If you aren’t familiar with Candice Olson, she is the only Interior Designer we know of who earned her undergraduate degree while traveling the globe with the Canadian National Volleyball Team.
As one of North America’s leading designers, she is much in demand, and her charm and creativity have made her Divine Design the No. 1 show on both HGTV in the U.S. and W Network in Canada.
Yeah, we’re fans. But we’re biased. Her line of fine wallpapers is carried by York Wallcoverings. And we’re big fans of York.
Look closely at the kitchen office she designed (in the still photo above)and you’ll see a brilliant sample of her design work. She used this dramatic black-and-white wallpaper to provide contrast – and actually define this section of the kitchen as an office space.
You can check out her show on HGTV for a refreshing take on issues all designers grapple with. Or stop by our showroom to check out more of her wallpaper collection.
Of course, not all of the York wallpaper designs been featured on Divine Design. But they are all divine.
