Soleil Bleu Part Two
Picking up where we left off, this is the second part (deuxième partie?) of our look at the Soleil Bleu fabrics from JAB Anstoetz. Today, we’ll look at the Chateau and Deauville collections.
The Chateau features 13 delicate patterns in 46 colorways inspired by the impressive castles and estates of the Loire Valley. Often called the “Garden of France,” the Loire Valley is an enchanted land of vineyards, flowers and rolling green hills dotted with more than a thousand chateaux. The landscape is famous for inspiring a contemplative life and, for centuries, the Loire Valley has been a much sought-after location for poets, writers and artists.
The Chateau fabric collection (featured in the photo above) offers a step back through the history of some of France’s finest influences. Soft, sensitively textured fabrics are ideal for draperies and work equally well as upholstery. The palette includes silver and gold combined with soft pastels and warm natural colors for ultimate effect.
Chateau includes six upholstery fabrics: Amboise, Vendome, Villandry, Chambord, Brissac and Filou; these are complemented by seven decorative fabrics: Mirabelle, Ninette, Vichy, Manou, Bijou, Prestige and Poesie.
The Deauville collection is inspired by the bucolic hamlets of 19th Century Normandy and includes ten charming fabrics: Esmeralda, Sidonia, Balbec, Glaubert, Montebellow, Boudin, Ariste, Ocean, Lino and Maitre. Modeled on nature, Deauville captures the beauty of the Côte Fleurie and conjures images worthy of a painting by Eugene Boudin – a montage of summer and sea, with shades of sand and reed, powdery purple flowers and wild-grown berries – executed in delicate florals and bold stripes.
And just like the French countryside, Soleil Bleu fabrics offer lasting beauty – with Trevira CS® or flame-retardant finishing.
Charming. Disarming. Exclusive.
